You will find our hotel far from the overcrowded tourist centres on the Adriatic coast, in the quiet, preserved valley of Vinodol, 6 km from the Adriatic Sea, surrounded by karst mountains and magnificent woods. During the restoration, we paid special attention to respecting the details and particularities of this historical building, and regional distinctions. You can rent our affectionately furnished rooms during the whole year. Additional events such as seminars, courses, wine tastings, and excursions to local tourist sites can turn your stay at our hotel into a diversified and interesting adventure.

Kakva sjajna i zabavna večer!

_____

What a brilliant and entertaining evening!
Yesterday, the writer Ivica Ivanišević spoke about his latest novel and other subjects He told us how writing, for him, is some kind of escape from a raw and horrible world, some kind of therapeutic schizophrenia (well, yes, sometimes we have to heal ourselves with illnesses from reality!. And his humor yesterday was contagious, too. He explained that people call his books "crime stories with a mistake", because, most of the times, there aren't even dead bodies in it and his main focus isn't on "Whodunnit", but on the plot, the characters and the landscape of human relationships.
He spoke about his way of writing, not as a writer from Split, but a writer in a flat that's located in Split, a safe place from which he cana observe best and create his parallel world.
Thank you for this wonderful evening and thanks to the audience for the interest and active participation!

Ljudi moji, nemojte propustiti razgovor s Ivica Ivanišević!
Ja jedva čekam! 😍........
Ivica Ivanišević (Split, 1964) is one of the important contemporary Croatian writers, but also journalist, columnist, play wright and dramatist. He studied sociology and his years of writing for the newspapers Nedjeljna Dalmacija, Feral Tribune and Slobodna Dalmacija left a significant mark on his literary expression: his books are characterized by his great observance of the day-to-day life, his sharp humor and his bold sensitivity for dialogue. He is also well-known for books he wrote in co-authorship with other writers, such as Marina Vujičić or Renato Baretić.
He is at home in Split, which also the town in which his latest book "Nešto na žlicu" takes place. What superficially looks like a crime story (but no dead bodies!) is, in fact, much more than that: a combination of humor, irony and melancholy with psychologically convincing characters (You'll love Inspector Nalis!) and in the end a story where the author shows his special skill to extract the important questions about life, transcience and human relationships out of everday situations.
People, please, don't miss the conversation with Ivica Ivanišević!
I can't wait! 😍
