🌿 Ibiza has lost one of its most legendary figures. Tanit—often described as « Ibiza’s last authentic hippie »—passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 81, following a battle with lung cancer.
🕊️ Born Ferdinand Guy Jocelyn, this unique, unclassifiable man chose the name Tanit in tribute to Ibiza’s famous guardian goddess. Since the 1970s, he had embodied—like few others—the spirit of freedom and the alternative culture that shaped the island’s soul.
🪩 Bartender, dancer, party promoter, PR man... Tanit moved through decades of Ibiza’s nightlife and bohemian scene, never quite fitting into any single mold.
❤️ A few months before his passing, he spoke of facing his illness with serenity: « I am ending my life just as I lived it—surrounded by friendship. »
🌅 With Tanit, a piece of the Ibiza that existed before the superclubs, the VIPs, and the exorbitant table prices has vanished—an era when the island drew people primarily in search of freedom. 🕊️
