Balaton Kekszalag 2026

There comes a point in every race when you’re no longer battling the wind, but yourself. When fatigue, sleeplessness, and uncertainty keep asking the same question: Is it still worth it? And the answer doesn’t come in words, but in one more trimmed sheet, one more nautical mile behind you.

For us, this year’s Kekszalag was about perseverance. About the fact that no two moments on Lake Balaton are ever the same, and that nature always reminds us how small we are—yet how much we’re capable of.

Two days on the water. One sunrise and two sunsets. Moments that no photograph can truly capture. As the first light turned the lake to gold and the evenings painted the sky in shades of red and orange, we were reminded again why we love this sport. Not only because of the competition, but because of those quiet moments when nature reveals its perfection.

Lake Balaton wrote this story for us in its own handwriting. The wind was the ink, the waves the lines, and our wake the signature across the water. 🖋️

Crossing the finish line is always special, but this year it is the journey we will remember most. Because the Kekszalag isn’t only about who finishes first. It’s also about whether you can stay the course that the lake, the weather, and your own determination set before you.

Thank you, Lake Balaton. We’ll see you again next year. ⛵🌅🌊
