Beneath the surface of Alor lies a world bursting with colour, movement, and life.

Healthy coral gardens stretch across the reef, schools of reef fish shimmer in the sunlight, and every dive or snorkel reveals something new hiding amongst the coral.

It’s these vibrant underwater landscapes — still wild, healthy, and wonderfully untouched.

Nestled amongst the trees and overlooking the sea, our lounge is one of those places where it’s easy to lose track of time. Whether you’re enjoying a morning coffee, editing photos from the day’s adventures, or simply watching the tides come and go, the view is always changing.

In this video, you can clearly see what low tide looks like in front of the resort. Different tides, different perspectives, and always something beautiful to discover. 🌿🌊🐠

One of the coolest dive logbooks we’ve ever seen!

These incredible sketches were drawn by a our wonderful guest during his stay with us. Over the course of 24 dives, he documented many of the fascinating species he encountered underwater — from tiny macro critters to some of Alor’s iconic reef life — all by hand in his logbook.

The level of talent, creativity, and attention to detail honestly blew us away. What an amazing way to preserve dive memories.

One of the many reasons we never get tired of diving in Alor… the reefs here are simply bursting with life.

Vibrant coral gardens, dramatic underwater landscapes, clouds of reef fish, and encounters like this beautiful banded sea krait weaving effortlessly through the reef. These elegant sea snakes are a very common sight around Alor and are always fascinating to watch as they explore the coral in search of a small fish snack!

Some moments at Alami Alor are best enjoyed slowly… stretched out on a lounger, sea breeze in the air, and nothing but the sound of the ocean around you!

One of our favourite things about these quiet afternoons is watching pods of dolphins cruise past the resort, often right in front of the bungalows, while the mountains of Alor glow in the distance. It’s the kind of place that invites you to pause, breathe deeply, and simply enjoy being here.
