Carved from andesite stone, this unfinished Sukarno Relief stands as a quiet witness to Indonesia’s journey. Created by Harijadi Sumodidjojo at the request of President Sukarno, it depicts everyday life in Bali, where leadership, culture, and nature exist in timeless harmony, reflecting the theme “Indonesia Yang Akan Datang” (The Indonesia of The Future).

Though left incomplete, the visible outlines preserve the artist’s original vision, allowing the relief to speak not only of masterful craftsmanship, but also of a pivotal moment in history shaped by its time.
