✨ Fish Friday Featured 🌿🐠

Today’s fish is the beautiful Leaf Scorpionfish, Taenianotus triacanthus. 🍁🐡
We also call it Leaffish, in German Schaukelfish in Danish Blad Dragehovedfisk and in Japanese
ハダカハオコゼ Hadaka-haokoze. 🍃🐟

Appearance: This fish has a highly compressed body and a long, high dorsal fin that allows it to resemble drifting seaweed or a leaf. 🌱
Coloration: They are known to vary significantly in color, ranging from white, green, pink, and yellow to brown.
Behavior: They are ambush predators that often mimic the movement of their surroundings, rocking back and forth with the current.
Defense: They possess venomous spines that can deliver a painful sting.
