CORLOUGH & TEMPLEPORT 10K CULTURAL WALK
🚶‍♀️ Sunday 23rd August | 1pm
📍 Starting at Jampa Ling – H14 E286
Come along and discover the forgotten lanes, history and beautiful countryside of Corlough & Templeport on this special 10K cultural walk.
Our moderate 10K route will take you through the hills and along old cattle-droving lanes, following paths once used to move cattle through the local townlands.
📍 Townlands along the route include:
Mullaghmore • Gortnacargy • Arderry • Teeboy • Drumlougher
We’ll then make our way back to Owengallis, finishing with refreshments in the beautiful garden of Owendoon House. 🌸☕
A wonderful opportunity to enjoy the countryside, hear the stories of the area and discover some of the old forgotten routes and local heritage of Corlough & Templeport.

Discover the wild edible plants growing all around us, learn about their traditional uses, and gain a deeper appreciation for the natural heritage of our local landscape.

An evening not to be missed - at Jampa Ling Tibetan Buddhist Centre, Bawnboy, H14 E286, this Sunday 16th, 'Echoes of the Past' where 6 local residents will share their cherished memories and the social history of Bawnboy.
This event is facilitated by Savina Donohoe, former curator of Cavan County Museum.
This is a free event with refreshments served in the walled garden following.

Sharing Cherished Stories & Memories organised by Templeport Development Association

Join local Bawnboy residents as they share memories and stories of Bawnboy in Tibetan Buddhist Centre. The event will be facilitated by Savina Donohoe, former curator of Cavan County Museum as she meets six Bawnboy residents, who will share their cherished childhood memories, customs, practices and the social history of Bawnboy. Refreshments will be served after the event.
