Do not fret the cold weather as we're in “The Reevogue Days”, We are promised better days for the coming Easter Weekend!🐣☀️

What are " The Borrowing Days" / “Reevogue Days,” ?⛈️

The Laethanta na mBó Riabhaigh (“Days of the Brindled Cow”) are a piece of old Irish folklore used to explain the wild, unpredictable weather at the end of March and start of April.

According to the story, March borrowed a few extra days from April to punish a cow that had boasted it had survived the worst of the winter. March then unleashed fierce storms, killing the cow proving that winter wasn’t finished just yet.

These days became a way for people to describe that final sting of cold, wind, and rough weather before spring truly settles in. Even today, the phrase is used when late-season storms hit, reminding us not to trust early signs of good weather too soon.

Huge Congratulations to a great team of woman who ran the Lisbon EDP half marathon on Sunday 8th of March in memory of Róisín Cryan. 💛

A vast amount of money was raised for Gráinne Uaile Sub Aqua and the River Moy Search and Rescue Ballina.
Both of these organisations rely entirely on donations to train volunteers maintain equipment and continue their essential work.

A big thank you to all who supported donated and took part in this very meaningful fundraising event.
