We’d just like to say a huge thank you to Michael Commins for this lovely article about Dad. It was really lovely to read and to see so many memories of him captured so beautifully.

We also want to thank everyone who has reached out to us, sent messages, called, shared memories and paid their respects to Dad over the past few months. We honestly can’t thank everyone enough for all the kindness and support shown to our family.

Dad meant so much to so many people in Claremorris and beyond, and it has been very comforting for us to hear all the stories and memories people have shared.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Paul Hanley.

Paul was the heart and soul of The Western Hotel for so many years. He welcomed everyone through the doors with warmth, kindness and a great sense of humour, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

We would like to thank everyone for their kindness, support and messages of sympathy during this incredibly difficult time.

May Paul rest in peace.
