MEET THE JUDGES 🌟
We're delighted to confirm the judging panel for the CPW Search for a Star Grassroots Championships 2026 this Sunday at Barnadown Equestrian, Co. Wexford.
Andrew Byrne takes the performance phase. A show jumper, coach and member of the Irish Defence Forces, Andrew has competed at national and international level and qualified for the RDS on numerous occasions, as well as eventing to Open Two-Star. He is a Horse Sport Ireland accredited coach and, alongside his wife Siobhán, runs HL Sport Horses.
Harrison Taylor travels from Lancashire to judge ride and conformation. Harrison had a remarkable 2025, taking the small hack of the year title at HOYS with Cranbornes Sirius before topping the intermediate field just 48 hours later, along with a first Royal Windsor title, the overall championship at the Royal International, and champion honours on his Dublin Horse Show debut. He also knows our breed well — he won the open Connemara and New Forest final at Hickstead as the youngest rider in the class. Harrison will ride in every class bar the Little Star Championship.
Four phases, four championships, €4,500 in prize money.
