Dripsey Castle was built by Cormac Láidir MacCárthaigh, one of the last high Chieftains of Ireland in 1450. At the time it would have been known as Carrignamuck Castle.

It would have been a tower house of protection for nearby castles in the area such as Blarney Castle and Carrigodrohid Castles.

This summer, RecipeKick welcomed guests to Dripsey Castle Estate for immersive food tours celebrating the very best of Irish produce.

From visiting local producers and exploring farmers’ markets to harvesting from our organic gardens and enjoying unforgettable dining experiences, each tour was a celebration of food, people, and place.

Every experience ended with a candlelit feast in the castle’s medieval tower and a traditional campfire sing-song under the stars.
