Long before Bram Stoker became synonymous with Dracula, he was a familiar figure in Dublin. Born in Clontarf in 1847, Stoker later lived on St Stephen’s Green, just moments from The Shelbourne.

In 1876, he met celebrated actor Henry Irving at The Shelbourne, beginning a lifelong friendship that would become an important part of Stoker’s story.

This October, we are celebrating Bram Stoker with our Bram Stoker Pie. Tender braised beef cheek, bacon lardons and rich bourguignon are encased beneath golden puff pastry — a hearty dish made for autumn evenings.

Join us at No.27 Bar & Lounge, where you can pair the pie with one of our signature cocktails and settle in for an evening of good food, good drinks and a little taste of Dublin’s literary history.
