Calling the Donegal Community in Dublin
Donegal people living in Dublin are invited to come together for the launch of Homegrown, the new book by Donegal author and Portnoo Market Garden founder Barrie Quinn.
Chapters Bookstore, Dublin
Tuesday, 8 September at 6.30 p.m. in Parnell Street, Dublin
Homegrown tells the story behind Portnoo Market Garden, exploring food, sustainability, community and Barrie's deep connection to Donegal. The book celebrates the people, experiences and local knowledge that have shaped the journey from a small market garden in Portnoo to a growing online community.
At the Dublin launch, Barrie will be joined by writer Ali Dunworth for a conversation about the book, the stories behind it and the journey to publication. The evening will also include an audience Q&A, an opportunity to meet Barrie and a book signing.
This is a chance for the Donegal diaspora in Dublin to gather, support a fellow Donegal person and celebrate a story proudly rooted in the county.
Places are limited to 200 guests, so early booking is recommended.
