One year ago today, we opened our doors….

What a year. A huge thank you to our brilliant team – we are only as good as the people around us and we feel incredibly lucky with the team we have.

To all our guests who’ve stayed with us over the past 12 months a big thank you also. It has been our pleasure having you stay. This business only grows through word of mouth, and we are truly grateful for all of you for spreading the word.

And finally, to the Dungarvan community. We couldn’t have done it without you. The support and help we’ve received over the last 12 months has been immense. The sense of community spirit is a big part of what makes Dungarvan so truly special.

The Blackwater Valley Opera Festival kicks off tomorrow 🎶✨

This much-loved festival brings world-class performances to some of the most beautiful venues across the Blackwater Valley and we’re delighted to be listed as one of the accommodation providers for the festival.

We’d like to wish the very best of luck to all involved — the organisers, performers, crew, volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes to make it such a special event.

Lights, camera, action 🎬✨

We were delighted to welcome An Corsaiceach crew to The Hat Maker this week, where part of their upcoming documentary interview for TG4 was filmed in our courtyard.

It was a pleasure to host RoseAnn Foley and the team as they worked on this special programme celebrating actors and storytelling here in the Déise.

We can’t wait to see the finished documentary on TG4!
