As many of you may know, late last Saturday morning we suffered a major electrical fire here at Rathsallagh House. Thankfully, no one was injured, and for that we are incredibly grateful.
The fire occurred at the rear of our main Pavilion Room. While the room itself sustained only minor damage, the electrical supply was severely affected and the service kitchen was extensively damaged.
On Monday morning, we contacted all upcoming brides and grooms who may potentially be affected by this unfortunate event. We completely understand the heartbreak, disappointment, and stress this situation may cause, and we want to reassure all of our couples that we are doing absolutely everything possible to support them during this difficult time.
Within just two days, we sourced and erected a beautiful marquee, installed temporary power generation, and created a fully operational service kitchen and bar to ensure that we could continue hosting weddings and not let anyone down. Our first event in the new space took place on Thursday evening, and our wonderful couple, whom we thank sincerely for placing their trust in us, were absolutely delighted with the solution provided.
While we understand this is not what anyone originally envisioned for their special day at Rathsallagh, please know that we are working around the clock to restore the Pavilion and have it fully operational again as soon as possible.
Aside from the Pavilion itself, which has been temporarily replaced by a beautifully marquee, all other areas and services at Rathsallagh House remain fully operational. From our exceptional team and award-winning cuisine to our ceremony spaces, Glam Rooms, reception areas, and stunning grounds, the Rathsallagh experience our couples know and love remains very much unchanged.
As you can imagine, we are currently dealing with a very high volume of calls and emails, but we are working hard to respond to everyone as quickly as possible.
We would also like to sincerely thank our friends, past and present couples, staff, suppliers, vendors, and the incredible Fire and Ambulance Services for the overwhelming support and kindness shown to us during this difficult time
