Birdsong in the campsite early summer 2026.

Have no idea what bird that is but am sure there's an app for it!

Some of the best camping memories are made around the table. 🍽️
Good food, tired kids, stories from the day's adventures and everyone together for a while.

The sun goes down, the little lights come on, and another campsite evening begins.
✨
The fire's crackling, conversations are getting longer. Tomorrow can wait.

One of the nicest things about family camping? The kids somehow find each other within minutes.

Then it's games, climbing trees, making up adventures, and only reappearing when they're hungry.

We reckon that's exactly what childhood should look like.

There's a reason sitting by water feels like exhaling. Researchers call it blue mind, a mild meditative state our brains enter when we're near, in, or listening to water. It slows everything down without you even trying.

One of our favourite morning walks takes you right past the creek. Consider it a free therapy session. 🌿

Dunbeacon sits right in the middle of it all — the perfect base for exploring some of the most beautiful corners of the southwest. Here's what's within reach, and we've barely scratched the surface:

1. Barleycove Beach
2. Schull
3. Beara Peninsula
4. Ballyrisode Beach
5. Mizen Head
6. Sheep’s Head
7. Durrus
8. Bantry Town
9. Glengariff
10. Mount Gabriel at sunset

The campsite will be here when you get back 🏕️

It's very hard to distinguish one Robin from another but we think this little fella has been in the campsite for a couple of years now.

Fearless so he is, more than willing to sit outside your campervan and wait till a snack is delivered and always responds with a nod and a smile :)

10/10 from Neil and honestly we can’t argue with that 👏 Thank you so much, glad the showers lived up to the hype!
