We’re very proud to share that this year’s Dragons’ Den raised an incredible €20,601.87 for Galway Hospice.

It was a brilliant day from start to finish, and one that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of so many people. A huge thank you to Big O for getting behind the event and supporting us along the way.

We were also delighted to have members of the Galway Hospice team join us on the day. Their support in the lead-up to the event and throughout the day meant a lot to everyone involved.

And of course, a big thank you to our five teams, our colleagues across Connacht Hospitality Group and everyone who stopped by to support them around Galway.

It was a real group effort, and we’re incredibly proud of what everyone achieved together for Galway Hospice.

A huge congratulations to M. Fitzgerald’s, our Dragons’ Den 2026 winners! 🐉

Together, our five teams raised an amazing €20,601.87 for Galway Hospice, and we are incredibly proud of everyone who took part.
A huge amount of work went into the event, from coming up with the initial ideas and securing sponsorship to creating the products, selling them on the streets of Galway and presenting to our Dragons.

It was a real group effort from start to finish. Thank you to every team, colleague, sponsor and supporter who played a part and helped us raise such an incredible amount for Galway Hospice.

And once again, congratulations to the M. Fitzgerald’s team on a very well-deserved win!

A huge congratulations to the team at M. Fitzgerald’s, our 2026 Dragons’ Den winners! 🐉

For their ‘Hugs for Hospice’ idea, the team created teddy bears to sell in aid of Galway Hospice, with a giant teddy joining them on the streets of Galway to give out hugs and spread a little kindness along the way.

Yesterday was an incredible day of fundraising for Galway Hospice, a charity that does so much for people and families across Galway.

A big thank you to all five teams for the work they put in, and to everyone who came out to support them. We’re very proud of what everyone achieved together.

One day to go!

Ahead of tomorrow’s event, we spoke with Brian Lynch, COO of Connacht Hospitality Group, about our CSR journey, why supporting local charities is important to us and what our partnership with Galway Hospice means to the group.

We also spoke with Mary Nash, CEO of Galway Hospice, who shared more about the important work they do and the services they provide to people and families across Galway.

Tomorrow, our five teams will take to the streets of Galway from 11am, selling the products they have created for Dragons’ Den, with all proceeds going to Galway Hospice.

5 days to go until our CSR Dragons’ Den!

We sat down with one of our judges, Jacqueline O’Dowd, to hear a little more about the event, our Charity of the Year, Galway Hospice, and what our judges will be looking for on the day.

The excitement is building across the group as our five teams get ready for the final few days.

You’ll find them on the streets of Galway on 25th August from 10am, selling the products they’ve been working on, with all proceeds going to Galway Hospice.

One week to go until our Dragons’ Den event!

Now in its third year, the excitement is building as five teams from across Connacht Hospitality Group prepare to take on the challenge once again.

Representing HYDE, M. Fitzgerald’s, The Hawthorn, An Púcán and The Connacht Hotel, each team has been tasked with developing and selling a product, all while raising funds for our Charity of the Year, Galway Hospice.

The teams have been busy planning, creating and bringing their ideas to life. On 25th August from 10am, you’ll find them around Galway City selling their products and raising as much as they can for Galway Hospice.

There are only a few days left before they face our Dragons and find out which team comes out on top.

Dragons’ Den is about more than the competition. It brings our teams together, encourages new ideas and gives people across the group the opportunity to work together, all while supporting an incredible cause.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday evening for the Walk in Green in memory of Liz Kavanagh O’Malley, in support of Galway Hospice.
