Today, we pause to remember our great friend and local legend, Anthony “Axel” Foley, on the 10th anniversary of his passing.
Anthony wasn't just a rugby hero. He was one of our own here in Ballina-Killaloe, whose legacy continues to inspire all, both on and off the field.

As always, Our thoughts are with Olive, Tony, Dan, and all of the Foley family today as we remember a man who meant so much to so many.
Special tributes will take place at Saturday's Munster match in Cork, which includes Killaloe RFC children's teams taking on Shannon RFC at half time. It's a fitting way to honour Axel's enduring connection to rugby and to the next generation of players.

Gone but never forgotten, Axel ❤️

Please support Anthony's sister, Orla Foley's 8-week fundraising initiative in his memory:

"We had such a great stay here. All the staff were wonderful and so helpful. Our room overlooked the lake (room 102) and had everything we needed, and a very comfy bed! The breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had, loads of vegan options and it felt very high quality. The swimming pool was great and the sauna was a lovely addition. Would highly recommend staying here."

Thank you for the kind words about our team. We’ll make sure they get passed on 💙
