The Spanish armada replica ship is due to arrive into the bay off mulaghderg beach this Tuesday the 14th roughly between 9.30am and 10am.
In 1588 its estimated that about 24 Spanish armada ships sank off the coast of Ireland during severe storms, resulting in about 6,000 Spanish soldiers drowning.
One of these ships sank off mulaghderg beach.
A flotilla of local boats is expected to accompany the ship as it comes into the bay, which will be a great sight to see.
