The route to the Slieve Bloom Mountain Biking trails pass my door in Kinnitty Village. Bike hire is available from my yard but must be pre booked online through Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Centre

Clonmacnoise a wonderful heritage site just 45 minutes from Kinnitty Village where we are located. Combine it with a visit to Athlone Castle Visitor Centre.

⚠️ Important Notice: Visitor Centre Closure
The visitor centre is currently closed for essential works, the Monastic site is open with restrictions.

👥 Group & Tour Policy
• Individuals & Small Groups: Walk-ins only. Online booking and guided tours are unavailable, limited tickets & time permitted on-site. (30 minutes). It is not possible to reserve parking space / tickets for small groups.
• Large Groups (15+): Guided tours are available but must be pre-booked,
• Drop-offs are not permitted so a car/bus space must be attained before entering the site.

⏰ Opening Hours (May – August)
• Daily: 09:00 – 17:30 (Last admission)

🅿️ Parking & Arrival Advice
• Peak Hours: Avoid arriving between 10:30 and 15:00 to prevent delays and potential time limits on your visit.
• Large Vehicles: Parking is highly limited for vehicles over 5 metres in length.
• Coaches: Parking is strictly reserved for official OPW customers.
• Overnight Parking: Strictly prohibited.

Slieve Bloom Way is a great 3 day walk. Free parking for guests staying 2 nights. The section on the Ridge of Capard has been rerouted.

What a lovely event in Lough Boora Discovery Park. There are lots of great locations here in Kinnitty Village and the nearby Slieve Bloom Mountains to get out and with your easel and paint brushes for your own plain air event. I can help you choose.
