To celebrate National Heritage Week, we’re looking back at the history behind the Blue Haven. 💙

Long before it became the hotel we know today, the site was home to Kinsale’s Old Fish Market and Meat Market, dating back to 1784, reflecting the town’s deep roots in fishing, trade and food.

In 1907, the Blue Haven began its own story of welcoming guests to Kinsale. Over the decades, it became an important part of the town’s hospitality scene, growing alongside Kinsale as it developed into the food destination we know today.

From its market heritage to more than a century of hospitality, the Blue Haven has always been part of Kinsale’s story.

This National Heritage Week, we’re celebrating the history, people and places that make Kinsale so special.
