A huge thank you to Julius Silvan, his crew, and everyone involved in organising and delivering a brilliant Farm Forestry Open Day with us.

Thank you also to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success. There was plenty presented, learned, discussed and thought about throughout the day.

We had a fantastic turnout, with approximately 200 people attending, a great reflection of the interest and enthusiasm for farm forestry.

Finally, a sincere thank you to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine for their support in making this day possible.

A brilliant day all round — thank you to everyone who played a part!

A huge thank you to Julius Silvan and everyone involved in helping to bring this vision to life.
Together, we're celebrating a
FARM FORESTRY ACTION OPEN DAY

Join us for a practical day exploring the many ways trees can be integrated into a working farm, from producing valuable timber and firewood to fruit, nuts, mushrooms, honey, livestock shelter and biodiversity
We will showcase a range of woodland and agroforestry projects already being developed on the farm.
The programme will include practical demonstrations and guided walks.
There will also be an opportunity to see how timber produced through woodland management can be processed and put back into use on the farm, including fencing and other farm forestry infrastructure.
The emphasis is on practical experience and discussion rather than classroom presentations. Come along to see what is being done, ask questions and explore the opportunities and challenges of incorporating trees into a working farm.
