Great news for your stay in the Burren 🌿

From May 1st, the Burren National Park Shuttle Bus is back, running from Corofin straight into the heart of the park. From May 21st, the Cliffs of Moher Explorer Shuttle will also be up and running again.

Both services are free. The Cliffs shuttle even includes free entry to the Cliffs of Moher.

You can park up, skip the busy roads, and take in the views without the stress of driving. More time to walk, explore, and enjoy the landscape at your own pace.

We encourage all our guests to make the most of these services during your stay. Less driving, more experiencing 🚍

Ask us for routes and tips when you arrive. We are happy to help you plan your days.

The free shuttle bus service to the Burren National Park returns today for the summer season. From May to the end of September, the service will operate from the Burren National Park Information Point in Corofin to the trailhead at Gortlecka Cross near Kilnaboy in the National Park. This service will link up with other routes on the Burren and Cliffs Explorer shuttle service which start on 21st May. This service provides a convenient and more sustainable travel option to visitors wishing to explore the scenic way-marked walking trails found within the park, where parking is limited. There is no need to book a seat on the bus but operates on a first come, first served basis. The bus runs 13 times a day, seven days a week, with the first bus leaving Corofin at 9.30am and the last bus returning from the park at 5.15pm. At Slieve Elva B&B, breakfast is always your choice 🍳

We still proudly serve a Full Irish, cooked fresh and with care. If that’s what you’re in the mood for, you’ll get the same warm welcome and a great plate.

At the same time, many guests now look at their carbon footprint, even while travelling 🌿 That’s why we’ve put together a simple guide comparing the impact of our different breakfast options.

From a hearty Full Irish to lighter choices like porridge or crepes, you can pick what suits your appetite and your values.

You can also enjoy our buffet filled with goodies like fresh jams, spreads, yoghurt, cakes, granola and more, all homemade here at the B&B.

No pressure. Just good food and informed choice.

One small ask from us 💚
Please only take what you can eat. Don’t feed the bins. Empty plates are the greatest form of appreciation.

We look forward to welcoming you 😊

Proud to be part. Since we've joined the network 6 years ago, we've managed to achieve the highest "Emerald award" each time. Glad to see our sustainability efforts recognised.

Last week was one of the biggest milestones on the Burren Ecotourism Networks' journey to date, when 69 local businesses were awarded their Code of Practice certificates by The Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark . The event was held at the Falls Hotel & Spa, and the menu featured superb local foods from the Burren Smokehouse , The Clare Jam Company , Aillwee Burren Experience St. Tola Irish Goat Cheese Burrenbeef Market House Ennistymon and Linnalla Pure Irish Ice Cream. The night was attended by Clare County Council, EarthCheck and our elected representatives. Hospitality businesses were acknowledged for providing 2 years worth of evidence of their commitment to sustainable practices such as collaboration, understanding of local geology and heritage, accessibility, local sourcing, local employment and the management of finite resources. Thanks to everyone involved, and we look forward to ongoing promotion and protection of the Burren together!!

A huge thank you to Janet from E-whizz electric bike rental and tours for hosting a fantastic and refreshing experience for her fellow Burrenbeo Trust Business Members!

Fionnuala from Lally Tours, Kris and Ireen from Slieve Elva B&B, and Membership Officer Karen had the opportunity to enjoy a guided taster tour, taking in beautiful scenic routes in the heart of the Burren - an excellent way to connect with each other and the landscape we are all trying to protect and enhance. It was very inspiring to see our Business Members coming together, sharing ideas, and discovering ways to support each other and grow as a community.

Burrenbeo Business members are part of an active community working together for the future of our natural and cultural heritage. To find out more about the mutual benefits of setting up a Burrenbeo Trust business membership for as little as €15 per month, visit https://burrenbeo.com/support-us/
