In a tranquil corner of Listowel’s old square, there is a haven of comfort and hospitality, an establishment with a proud tradition of fine food and quality service; a quiet retreat; a warm and intimate meeting place. Yes, it was also here that another
political giant Charles Stewart Parnell, coined his
most famous exhortation:"Let no man set a
boundary to the march of a nation!". But these are ju

st instances
of the many great names and the
countless encounters that these rooms have
witnessed over two centuries. The sense of tradition is palpable. The tradition of service is also rich. As long ago as 1842 the Victorian writer
W.M.Thackeray recommended the place. Another commentator, Richard Colt-Hoare,
in 1865, described the Arms as
'one of the best in Ireland'.

It was an absolute pleasure to host the wedding of Lara & Michael here at the Listowel Arms Hotel.

One of the many things we love about weddings at the Listowel Arms is our location. Just a short stroll from St. Mary’s Church, it offers a rare and truly special moment before the ceremony. Lara and her father enjoyed that beautiful walk together through the heart of Listowel, sharing a few quiet moments before she met Michael at the altar.

After saying “I do,” the celebrations continued back at the hotel, where their closest family and friends gathered for drinks and delicious canapés in our Conservatory before moving into the Greenville Room to enjoy the couple’s very first meal together as husband and wife.

A day filled with love, laughter and unforgettable memories. Thank you, Lara & Michael, for choosing to celebrate such a special occasion with us. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
