se is sitting high up on a hill overlooking Lough Derg, the large lake formed by the majestic river Shannon. This fantastic location offers guests breathtaking, panoramic views over the lake and the surrounding countryside of green fields. The front of the house is West facing and one can enjoy wonderful flaming red sunsets over the water. The property sits peacefully and secure on the hill set back from the road, surrounded by mature gardens with native shrubs and trees on a large site which makes it ideal for families with children.The detached bungalow has 3 bedrooms (all en-suite), 1 main bathroom, playroom/lounge, large kitchen/dining room, conservatory, living room with fireplace, large patio with garden furniture, television with Satellite and Sky /Netflix channels reception for English/German channels and free high speed WIFI connection. The kitchen has all modern appliances like dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, oven, hob and microwave.

Our winter job this year: we have replaced the polycarbonate roof of the conservatory with tiles 😄 That means:

- warmer in the winter and in the evenings
- doesn’t overheat as much in the summer
- less noise from wind and rain
- new ceiling lights which weren’t there before

And above all: the same spectacular panoramic view over the lake and countryside !

We are very happy the way it turned out 😄

A trip to Kilkenny is a great idea at any time of the year. So much to do and see, Swithwicks Experience 🍺, Kilkenny Castle, 🏰 St. Mary’s Cathedral ⛪️, medieval mile, cobble stone streets, lots of shops, pubs and restaurants. Something for everyone! - and only c. 1.5 hours drive away 👍
