Today is International Thank a Greenkeeper Day.
A golf course is only as good as the team behind it, and we are incredibly grateful to our dedicated greenkeeping team who work tirelessly throughout the year to keep Dromoland Golf Course looking and playing at its best.

From the early mornings to the long days and everything in between, thank you for all that you do. Your hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it never goes unnoticed.

Wishing the best of luck to our Touring Professional, Sara Byrne, and Club Member, Aine Donegan, at the 2024 Women's Amateur Championship at Portmarnock Golf Club this week. The entire Dromoland Castle team and Golf Club are cheering you on!

We are delighted to announce rising star Sara Byrne as our Touring Professional for the 2024-25 season.

Sara is certainly no stranger to Dromoland. In September, she closed off her summer in style, impressing home crowds by finishing as the top amateur at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

Eamonn O’Donnell, our Director of Golf said: “Sara has been on an incredibly exciting journey in her golfing career, particularly over the last 12 months. We’ve been following her fantastic progress and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her into the Dromoland Castle fold as our newest Touring Golf Professional. She has a huge amount to offer and we’re confident that, whenever she gets the opportunity, she’ll feel very at home on our championship course.”
