Delighted to contribute to the Pride of Place judges presentation and tour of Portumna
There was a great buzz in town and everyone involved turned up and showed why Portumna is such a worthy entrant as Galway Co Co representive in the Pride of Place tourism category. Well done Portumna Tidy Towns and all the other groups and organizations that supported them today.
Stars of the show today in joint first place Portumna Community School and Mrs Eileen Smith who gave outstanding performances in the Courthouse this aftetnoon.

OPW staff James Heenan & Noel Larkin will give an insightful talk on the history of the Cistercians & Dominicans, look at the functions and features of the Priory and finish with tombstone iconographies.
