Built in the Vijayanagara Royal Style, the Jal Mahals at Evolve Back, Hampi reflect Vijayanagara architecture at its luxurious best. Inspired by the Water Palace within the Zenana Enclosure, they are ideally suited for families or couples celebrating a special occasion.

Set within a lily pool, the Jal Mahals are the perfect amalgamation of historical style and modern luxury.

World Environment Day is a reminder that caring for the planet is not a single act, but a collection of small, meaningful choices made every day.

Across Evolve Back destinations, this commitment takes many forms. In Coorg, it lives in the shade of native trees and the protection of the region's rich biodiversity. In Kabini, it is reflected in our efforts to support conservation and coexistence with the wilderness around us. In Hampi, it finds expression in preserving cultural landscapes and nurturing local communities.

Today, we celebrated World Environment Day across all three resorts through a range of activities that brought together our team members and guests in a shared commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Each destination is unique, but they are united by a common belief: that travel should leave places richer, healthier, and more resilient for generations to come.

This World Environment Day, we celebrate not only the natural wonders that surround us, but also the responsibility we all share in protecting them.

Announcing our Storyteller of the Month | April 2026

Each month, our 'Reliving your Evolve Back journey' initiative honors our winner with a complimentary one-night stay at the Evolve Back resort of their choice.

We are delighted to announce Mr. Sridhar Krishnamoorthy as our Storyteller of the Month for April 2026. Mr. & Mrs. Krishnamoorthy recently spent three nights in the quiet luxury of Coorg, cherishing meaningful family moments with their cousins and friends.

In his own words, Mr. Sridhar shared that Evolve Back, Coorg is "no ordinary resort," noting that he was "amazed by the exemplary customer service and well-qualified naturalists." Most beautifully, he concluded that after a stay here, "you come back with a new Zest for Life."

Thank you, Mr. Sridhar, for sharing the soul of your journey with us.

Stories from Evolve Back

The Small Faunal Sovereigns of Kodagu: There is a way of looking at little things in a forest when one is carrying the weight of life’s big questions in one’s heart. A breaking twig, a shadow with its reptilian hiss, a little breathing thing other than big muscles with stripes or tusks or antlers. And then there is another way of looking. It begins at the end of the human’s sense of entitlement, when one stops expecting the forest to perform.

In Kodagu, especially in the monsoon, the treasures of the wild do not reveal themselves in grand gestures. They seem to seep into one’s consciousness only when there is slow deliberation.

Our Boma dinner is an evocative open-air dining experience, centred around a glowing fire and inspired by the traditional enclosures of the African wilderness. Rooted in a spirit of togetherness, it brings guests into a shared space where stories are exchanged as freely as the warmth of the flames.

Beneath a starlit sky, the experience unfolds unhurriedly, as the flicker of firelight, the cadence of conversation, and the elemental simplicity of the setting come together to create an atmosphere that is both timeless and deeply immersive.

Birds of Hampi | Comb duck

The Comb Duck is a large, distinctive bird often seen on quiet wetlands, drifting across the water or perched in trees along the shoreline. The male is easy to identify by the prominent black k**b at the base of his bill, a feature that gives the species its name. His dark, glossy head contrasts with a clean white neck and body, while the wings show a subtle green sheen in good light.

Despite its size, it can remain still for long periods, blending into the dappled light at the water’s edge. Unlike most ducks, it nests in tree hollows rather than on the ground. Soon after hatching, the chicks leap down to the ground and make their way to the water.

Art Shastra - showcasing Evolve Back's private art collection and the stories behind the canvas

Harmony and detail – two distinctive artistic values – stand at the heart of the Evolve Back experience where every resort is created with an understanding and ingenuity that befits each location, capturing its soul faithfully – much like a work of art.

As part of the second edition of Art Shastra, we were proud to host a gathering of twenty eminent Indian artists at Evolve Back Coorg, featuring, among others, S.G. Vasudev, Rameshwar Broota, Atin Basak, Goutam Das, Samir Aich and others. These maestros soaked in the magic of their surroundings to create individual masterpieces that now grace our private collection.

Royal Coracle Cruise

Drift gently along the timeless waters of the Tungabhadra River aboard a traditional coracle, reimagined in understated royal elegance. As the river winds past ancient, boulder-strewn landscapes, settle into an experience that is both unhurried and deeply evocative.

This is not merely a cruise, but a graceful passage into the spirit of a bygone era and the quiet grandeur of a land steeped in history.
