One of our guest’s favourite experiences at Rakkh is the village walk.
You walk through old mountain homes, wheat fields, local temples, and paths that locals have used for generations. Along the way, you stop by a traditional gharat, watch wheat being ground the old way, or sit down for chai and snacks at a village home.It’s a simple experience, but one that gives you a real glimpse into life in the mountains around Palampur.

Meet Safedo Aunty, who has been with Rakkh for 9 years. A local weaver, she introduces guests to the intricacies of traditional Himachali weaving through hands-on sessions at our weaving centre.
