After days of on-and-off rain, the view finally cleared. This was at 5:37 pm on 2 May 2026. The sunlight hit every hill below in the best way. The River Teesta stood out with a clear golden glow. The darker ridge in front hides the Rangeet flowing behind it. It’s a view we hadn’t seen in a while. Simple, but exactly why people come here. Our guests got lucky with this one.

Something special has been simmering at Relimai Retreat, Kalimpong 🍜 Our kitchen recently turned into a Pan-Asian learning space. We were honoured to cook alongside Ma’am Lee Geok Boi,
an acclaimed author of multiple cookbooks and a lifelong food researcher. Her work draws deeply from traditional Asian kitchens, home recipes,
and years of documenting authentic flavours across cultures.

Learning directly from her was both humbling and inspiring. This marks the beginning of exploring global cuisines at Relimai Retreat. Select Pan-Asian dishes will soon be part of our in-house guest menu.
