Some holidays are measured in days.

Reo’s was measured in muddy paws, rain-darkened roads, a river that kept calling his name, and the comfort of having his favourite human close. 🤎

At Wag-A-Bond, he didn’t need much—just somewhere to wander, water to splash through, a little cottage beneath the trees and enough time to be exactly what he is: a dog, deeply at home in the wild.

For a little while, the forest belonged to Reo.

And Reo belonged right back. 🌿

Food has always been such a big part of a holiday.

Not fancy food. Not complicated food. Just the kind that arrives at the table warm, comforting and made by someone who really cares about what they’re feeding you. 🌿

At Wag-A-Bond, that comes from Surekha and Maushi.

Over time, their food has quietly become part of the Wag experience. You come back from the forest hungry, the dogs settle somewhere nearby, everyone gathers around the table… and dinner somehow feels like its own little event.

There are favourites, of course.

Maushi’s Paapdi Subji is one of them. And then there’s her special masala — an old family recipe that has apparently been around for a zillion years and, very conveniently, remains known only to her family. 😄

And Surekha’s Prawn Curry… order it. That’s all we’re saying.

Maybe that’s what we love most about the food here. It isn’t trying to be restaurant food.

It tastes like somebody made it for you. 🤍

Good food, forest air, dogs under the table and nowhere to be in a hurry.

That feels like a holiday to us.

We are often asked why Wag-A-Bond has “only” three cottages.

The truth is—it isn’t only three. It is exactly what this land, our team and the dogs can comfortably hold.

More cottages would mean more groundwater and tanker water, more diesel, more electricity and more waste.

And more dogs would not mean more fun. It could mean less space, less rest, less choice and less freedom to express normal behaviour.

Wag-A-Bond was built around the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare. That is not a marketing line. It is the foundation we will never compromise.

This isn’t a lack of ambition.
It is knowing when enough is enough.
