Tiny, round, endlessly curious, pikas are among the cutest residents of these mountains.Through the brief summer in Ladakh, they can be seen sitting outside their burrows like little mountain guardians, squeaking warnings, sunning themselves on warm rocks, and gathering mouthfuls of grass for the harsh winter ahead.
