What’s the need to do this?
Pumpkins need pollen transferred from a male flower to a female flower for the baby pumpkin to develop. If pollination doesn’t happen properly, the tiny pumpkin can turn yellow, shrivel and fall off.
So hand pollination is simply a way to make sure the fruit sets.
We also want to observe the difference between natural pollination and hand pollination, so we’re trying both and keeping an eye on the results.
Will share what we find soon. 🎃
