A steaming mug between my palms,
The balcony my porch of calm.
Before my eyes, the giants rise—
The Himalayas touch the skies.

A sudden drum of silver rain
Washes the ridges, clears the pain,
Turning the world a brilliant sheen
Of emerald, jade, and endless green.

Then soft and slow, the whispers crawl,
As misty blankets drape it all.
The peaks dissolve in ghostly white,
Fading softly out of sight.

Just me, the rain, the mountain air,
And quiet magic everywhere.
