Celebrating new perspectives on art and landscape.

The second edition of the Jumeirah Capri Palace Award marked a special moment during the tenth edition of .capri at Villa San Michele.

We are proud to celebrate Eva Giolo, recipient of the 2026 Award, selected by a jury chaired by Nicolas Bourriaud, alongside Claudio Cerasa, Brunella Trimarco, Ermanno Zanini and Marco Zappalorto.
Special Mentions were also awarded to Francolino and Ali Cherri, recognising their respective works and artistic research.

Curated by Arianna Rosica and Gianluca Riccio in collaboration with , this year’s Festival, THE OBSERVER, explores the act of looking and the perspectives that shape the way we see, a vision reflected in the spirit of the Award.

With profound sadness, we learn of the passing of artist Fabrizio Plessi, a pioneering figure in video art whose poetic language transformed water, fire, technology, and movement into unforgettable works of art.

We are honoured to preserve his vision at Jumeirah Capri Palace through “Azzurra”, a site-specific exclusive installation the artist created for our hotel back in 2005.
An original Blue Grotto boat transformed by digital flows of water, this work captures the timeless magic of Capri and its enduring dialogue between nature, memory, and innovation.

Today, as we remember dear Fabrizio, “Azzurra” feels especially poignant: a poetic tribute to an extraordinary artist, whose vision will continue to flow within our spirits, inspiring us always.
