Chi è stato alla Butte lo sa: Stellina era molto più di un cane. Con quel suo muso lungo da formichiere e la cicatrice da Harry Potter sulla nuca, spuntava spesso sulla porta a controllare chi arrivava. Era ufficialmente “vietato entrare" ma alla fine entrava sempre, perché nessuno sapeva resisterle. Ha ricevuto migliaia di coccole. Ha rubato cuori e carezze come fosse la cosa più naturale del mondo. E la magia era proprio questa: anche chi aveva paura dei cani, alla fine, se ne andava accarezzandole il muso e salutandola come un’amica.Stellina è stata parte della nostra famiglia e, in fondo, anche parte della vostra.
Grazie per ogni sorriso, per ogni carezza che le avete regalato.
Adesso vi guarda da lontano, con la stessa dolcezza con cui vi accoglieva sulla porta 🖤🌈

Anyone who has stayed at La Butte knows it: Stellina was so much more than a dog. With her long anteater-like snout and the little Harry Potter scar on the back of her neck, she would often peek out from the doorway to see who was arriving. She was officially “not allowed inside,” but in the end she always came in because no one could resist her. She received thousands of cuddles. She stole hearts and caresses as if it were the most natural thing in the world. And that was her magic: even those who were afraid of dogs would eventually leave stroking her muzzle and saying goodbye as if she were an old friend. Stellina was part of our family, and in a way she became part of yours too.
Thank you for every smile, every gentle touch you gave her.
Now she’s watching over you from afar, with the same sweetness she had when she welcomed you at the door 🖤🌈

Chi è passato dalla Butte lo sa: Olivia era molto più di una presenza, era parte della famiglia. Ha accolto cani, bambini e ospiti da ogni parte del mondo. Vi ha rubato i croissant, vi ha svegliati abbaiando, l'avete trovata a dormire coi bimbi sul letto. La sua allegria era contagiosa. Grazie a tutti voi che l’avete accarezzata, viziata, fotografata e amata insieme a me, Agata, Stellina e i gatti. Lei ora corre oltre ma la sua energia bella resta 🖤🤍🌈

Anyone who has been to the Butte knows: Olivia was never just a presence, she was truly part of the family. She welcomed dogs, children, and guests from all over the world. She stole your croissants, woke you up with her cheerful barking, and sometimes curled up on the bed with the little ones. Her joy was simply contagious. Thank you to all who petted her, spoiled her, took pictures with her, and loved her together with me, Agata, Stellina, and the cats. Now Olivia runs free across the Rainbow Bridge, but her bright, beautiful energy will always stay with us 🖤🤍🌈

🌳 Quando ho capito che era necessario tagliare quei due grandi olmi, non è stato facile. Erano diventati troppo pesanti e pericolosi per la scarpata, ma ci ero affezionata.

Con delicatezza e rispetto, il lavoro è stato fatto. E uno dei tronchi ora ospita un abbeveratoio per uccelli e insetti: un piccolo segno di continuità, un modo per restituire alla natura qualcosa di quello che ha dato.

Grazie a quegli olmi, per tutta l’ombra che mi hanno fatto in questi anni e per gli abbracci leggeri delle loro fronde 🌿

🌳 Realizing it was time to cut down those two tall elms wasn’t easy. They had grown too heavy and dangerous for the slope, but I was deeply attached to them.

The work was done with care and respect. One of the trunks has now been turned into a drinking spot for birds and insects: a small gesture of continuity, a way to give something back to nature for all it has given.

Thank you to those elms, for all the shade they offered me over the years and for the gentle embraces of their branches 🌿
