Parlando di me arriviamo ad oggi…
Il 01 gennaio 2022 con un grandissimo atto di coraggio, ho lasciato il “posto fisso” per tanto entusiasmo e nessuna certezza. Non ho pero’ mai messo in discussione la mia scelta; la paura di fallire era tanta ma la voglia di riuscire era decisamente di più. All’inizio avevo solamente un appartamento pronto, tutto il resto della casa era un cantiere che richiedeva tempi lunghissimi e tanti soldini.
In questi 5 anni di fatiche sia fisiche che economiche Casa Graziella è diventata quello che è oggi: 5 appartamenti, un giardino con due jacuzzi, una reception, parcheggi auto riservati, lavanderia e l’infernot . La soddisfazione è davvero grande, difficile anche da descrivere in modo appropriato.. Ora ovviamente non ci mi fermo, anzi continuerò con lo stesso entusiasmo cercando di migliorare ogni giorno.

Talking about myself to the presente day…
On January 1, 2022, in a great act of courage, I left my “steady job”—trading security for immense enthusiasm and a complete lack of certainty. Yet, I never once questioned my decision; while the fear of failure was significant, my desire to succeed was far greater. At the beginning, I had only one apartment ready; the rest of the property was a construction site that demanded a great deal of time and a significant financial investment.
Over these five years—marked by considerable physical and financial exertion—Casa Graziella has evolved into what it is today: five apartments, a garden with two Jacuzzi, a reception area, dedicated parking, a laundry facility, and an *infernot* (a traditional underground cellar). The sense of satisfaction is truly immense—difficult to even put into words. Naturally, I have no intention of stopping now; instead, I will continue with that same enthusiasm, striving to improve a little more each day.

Continuo a a parlare di me

Casa Graziella nacque nel 2018 da una piccola casetta in via Stefano Degiani a Portacomaro. Decisi di acquistarla e ristrutturarla. Allora lavoravo a Genova come responsabile commerciale in un’azienda del settore ospedaliero, e quel tram tram cominciava a starmi stretto. Un po per gioco e per quel desiderio rinchiuso nel cassetto decisi di aprire una locazione turistica: erano davvero pochissime le locazioni allora e non avevo idea di come sarebbe andata. Non mi sarei mai aspettata di conoscere cosi tante persone; è andata benissimo e mi sono appassionata.

Let me tell you a bit more about myself.

Casa Graziella began in 2018 with a small house in Via Stefano Degiani in Portacomaro. I decided to buy and renovate it. At the time, I was working in Genoa as a sales manager for a company in the healthcare sector, but that daily grind was starting to feel too confining. Partly for fun and partly to pursue a long-held dream, I decided to open a vacation rental; there were very few such rentals back then, and I had no idea how it would turn out. I never expected to meet so many people, but it went wonderfully, and I became truly passionate about it.

PARLIAMO UN PO DI ME Partiamo da Giugno 2012… la prima scintilla per il progetto di Casa Graziella é scoccata durante un viaggio in Irlanda: sono rimasta molto colpita dalla rete di meravigliosi Bed and Breakfast nei quali siamo stati. A Di**le la signora Fiona ci ha ospitato nella sua casa dove 3 camere erano adibite agli ospiti. Ogni mattina ci preparava una colazione deliziosa e nel frattempo ci dedicava tempo per consigli e suggerimenti sulla zona; non dimentico con che dolcezza e delicatezza faceva tutto ciò. In quel momento ho pensato “chissà se un giorno riuscirò a realizzare un luogo intimo e familiare dove accogliere le persone e farle sentire come mi sento io ora, a CASA!”🏠

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME... Let’s go back to June 2012. The initial spark for the Casa Graziella project came during a trip to Ireland; I was deeply impressed by the network of wonderful Bed & Breakfasts where we stayed. In Di**le, our host Fiona welcomed us into her home, which had three guest rooms. Every morning, she prepared a delicious breakfast for us while taking the time to offer advice and local recommendations—I’ll never forget the warmth and gentleness with which she did it all. That was the moment I thought: “I wonder if, one day, I’ll be able to create an intimate, homey place where I can welcome people and make them feel exactly the way I feel right now—at HOME!” 🏠
