Last night, Tremezzina came alive to celebrate the Sagra di San Giovanni. 🎇 This isn’t just a festival; it’s a living piece of history. The spectacular fireworks display serves as a historical reenactment of the burning of Isola Comacina in 1169,when the Comaschi, allied with Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, besieged and set fire to the island.
Watching the sky light up this year felt particularly poignant. While the show simulates the tragedy of a brutal medieval war, it served as a powerful contrast to our current world. It was a beautiful reminder that the noise filling the air tonight was not born from real conflict, but from collective joy and community. A night to remember—and to be grateful for. ✨
