Cherry season has arrived in the valley 🍒

On the walk back from lunch, we found ourselves stopping beneath a tree heavy with fruit.

It's often the smallest moments that stay with you here.

Not the things you schedule. Not the things you rush to see.

Just a quiet afternoon, a winding path, and the taste of summer straight from the branch.

Others feel like something you return to -
even before you’ve left.

Some guests come here and still need to work.
But what they discover is that it doesn’t feel quite the same.

The emails are still there.
The to-do list hasn’t changed.
The calls still happen.

But in between,
there’s a moment to glance out of the window.
A slower breath.
A little more space around the day.

The work gets done.
Just without the usual weight.

A Saturday morning in the valley.

Down the road to Cabella.
The market setting up in the square.
Shutters opening, one by one.

You choose fresh tomatoes without rushing.
A few quiet conversations along the way.
Pausing for a moment longer than you meant to.

By the time the sun reaches the rooftops,
you realise there’s nowhere else you need to be.

We're opening Sogni D'oro to retreats.

Over the past few years, we've seen how this place naturally invites people to slow down - to step away from the noise and reconnect with themselves and each other.

So we're now welcoming small, intimate retreat groups.

Long weekends or week-long stays.
Simple, spacious, and grounded in nature.

Our peace and quiet -
ready to be shared again.

After a winter of rest,
the doors are open,
the valley is waking up,
and a new season has begun.

Some guests come for the walking.
Some for the river.
Many for the quiet.

A few years ago, we opened the doors to this old Ligurian farmhouse and wondered who might find their way here.

Since then, over 200 guests.
Guests from nearby cities and from across the world.
Stories shared over food.
Slow mornings with the valley stretching out below.

Since the start, a few things have changed.

We now live here full-time - no more back-and-forth seasons. We are enjoying the full seasons of the valley.

Behind the scenes, we've become fully solar-powered through the summer months.

And yes - there's finally a dedicated car park.

We've also decided to stop serving breakfast at a set time but instead, guests use the shared kitchenette - tea and coffee, hob, fridge, a table to linger a while. Mornings unfold at your own time.

But the heart of this place hasn't changed.

The hills are still vast.
The river still runs clear.
And the quiet still does what it has always done.

If this is the year you need a moment of rest - the door is open.
