✨ LAKE CAREZZA AND ITS LEGEND 🏔️🌈

Known as the Rainbow Lake (Lec de Erbes in Ladin), Lake Carezza owes its enchanting colours to a famous legend:
It is said that the beautiful Nymph of the Lake lived in the waters. The sorcerer of Latemar, who was in love with her, tried to lure her by using his powers to create a huge rainbow amongst the peaks.

Realising she had been deceived, the nymph vanished forever into the depths. The sorcerer, furious and desperate, tore the rainbow from the sky and hurled it into the lake, shattering it into a thousand pieces. Ever since, the waters of the lake have held all its magical colours.
