Settembre torna a essere rumoroso. Ed è proprio lì che nasce la voglia di sparire per qualche giorno, verso il silenzio vero 🌫️
Il mare ci ha insegnato a rallentare stando fermi. La montagna, in autunno, insegna a rallentare camminando 🍂

I boschi iniziano a cambiare colore, l'aria si fa sottile e pulita, i sentieri si svuotano un po' e trovi lo spazio per pensare. Cammini senza meta precisa, ti fermi a guardare un albero che sta diventando rosso, senti il fiato che si allunga e i pensieri che, piano, si diradano. La montagna fà miracoli!

E tra poco arriverà anche quel momento lì, gli sci che tornano a scorrere sulla neve fresca
Poi si torna a casa. Ci si scalda, ci si siede, si mangia qualcosa di caldo mentre fuori il buio scende piano tra le montagne. Una tisana tra le mani, il legno di Rà Touta intorno, e quella sensazione di essere esattamente dove dovevi essere 🕯️
Bastano pochi giorni così per ricordarsi come ci si sente quando si rallenta davvero.
In autunno si fa più intima, più raccolta, quasi complice ed è proprio quando i colori cambiano che Cortina sa darti il meglio di sé 🏔️

The woods start changing color, the air turns thin and crisp, the trails empty out a little, and you find the space to think. You walk without a real destination, stop to look at a tree turning red, feel your breath stretch out and your thoughts, slowly, start to clear. The mountains work magic!
And soon enough,skis gliding over fresh snow again.
Then you head home. You warm up, sit down, eat something hot while outside the dark settles slowly over the mountains. A cup of tea in your hands, the wood of Rà Touta all around you, and that feeling of being exactly where you were meant to be.
It only takes a few days like this to remember what it actually feels like to slow down.
In fall, Cortina turns more intimate, cozier, almost like it's letting you in on a secret, and it's exactly when the colors change that it shows you its best side 🏔

UPCOMING EVENTS IN FERRARA 🍂

September is one of those months when Ferrara is truly at its best: pleasant temperatures, a historic city center perfect for exploring on foot or by bike, and a calendar packed with things to see and do.

We’re kicking things off on September 5–6 with the Vegan Festival, featuring great food, sustainability, talks, and plenty of things to discover.

On Sunday, September 6, also returns: the perfect opportunity to spend a few hours exploring art, culture, and some of the city’s most beautiful landmarks.

And since it’s the first Sunday of the month, Ferrara’s traditional Arts & Crafts Market returns to the historic city center, with stalls showcasing handmade creations, unique pieces, and local craftsmanship.

Music lovers, mark your calendars: on September 11, 12, and 18, the Sottomura Open Air Festival brings live music and late-summer vibes beneath Ferrara’s historic city walls. 🎶

On September 12–13, Ferrara’s Darsena riverfront turns green for Giardini Estensi, a market exhibition dedicated to plants, flowers, crafts, and design. Definitely not your average stroll 🌿

Starting September 18, Ferrara gets a little more magical as Ferrara in Fiaba returns to Parco Urbano Bassani on September 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27. An event created for kids — and for grown-ups who never completely stopped believing in fairy tales. ✨

And starting September 19, there’s one more reason to plan a weekend in the city: Palazzo dei Diamanti hosts “From Monet to Van Gogh to Kandinsky,” a journey through some of the greatest names in 19th- and 20th-century art. One of those exhibitions that might just be worth the trip on its own.

All in all, September is the perfect time to slow down and experience Ferrara at its best.

September in Florence: when the city sheds the summer heat and starts whispering in your ear again 🌇🍇

There's a month when Florence stops sweating under the August sun and finally gets to show its best side. The light turns golden an hour before sunset, the riverside streets empty out from the hit-and-run tourism, and the air, finally, smells like harvest season.

That's what September in Florence is, the city breathing again. You can finally lose yourself in the alleys of Oltrarno without a thousand phones raised over your shoulder, sit at a table in Santo Spirito in the evening and still feel the warmth on your skin but no longer weighed down by it, grab an aperitivo while watching Ponte Vecchio light up little by little.

Summer Vanillas, the things we love and never miss out on ☀️

Ferragosto is kind of the second-to-last buoy of summer. That point where you look back at the road you’ve traveled and think, “okay, we’ve got a story worth telling.”

So here we are, gathering the pieces of our summer into one carousel, because between one commitment and another, we didn’t let a single one slip by.

Last-minute beach dinners that always come together at the last second and somehow always turn out to be the best ones. Our kids growing up together, one summer at a time, melting our hearts every single time. HYROX done together, because working out is our outlet, and yes, we do love making our lives complicated. Long walks like true locals, discovering the spots we then recommend to our guests with all our heart. Weddings styled down to the last detail, our creative moments that never stop. The Lavoropiù Challenger Cup, organized with everything we’ve got. And opening up the beach houses, which brings a whole load of chores, hustle, races against the clock, but also a ton of laughs.

Basically, our summer is a mix of hard work and lightness, exactly the way we like it.
