Founded in 1963, in Florence, Il Bronzetto continues to share the legacy of Florentine metalwork around the world, with handcrafted creations enriching private residences, luxury interiors and bespoke projects across continents. Each piece carries the story of a tradition shaped by precision, creativity and time.

In a world that moves faster every day, some things still take time:

A gesture repeated thousands of times.
A material transformed through patience.
Knowledge passed from one generation to the next.

Through this series, we celebrate the artisans who continue to shape Florence's cultural landscape: not only through what they create, but through how they create it.

Each chapter explores the language of craftsmanship: the movements, materials, and rituals that have endured for centuries and continue to define excellence today.

For this first chapter, we step inside : Florence's historic silk weaving workshop, where 18th and 19th century looms are still used to create extraordinary textiles by hand. Here, centuries-old techniques continue to give life to fabrics that have adorned aristocratic residences, noble palaces and prestigious villas around the world; and that today can also be found within the walls of Helvetia & Bristol, where Room 353 features their silk wall coverings and furnishing.
