Hi everyone, it's been a while since I last shared updates here. Several years maybe?

As some of you might remember, 5 years ago, I decided to make a bold move from a corporate career in finance to hospitality entrepreneurship.
What could have gone wrong when you decide to exit a well-established corporate career and start running your own tourist business at Lake Garda?😂 However, I believe it's a remarkable milestone worth celebrating. It's already been 5 years on this journey, with the challenges of COVID and tons of other fun, and we are doing well.

For those who haven't heard from me since my corporate finance days, here's a quick update.

The fundamental idea of Gardadoma was about creating a social guesthouse with a lively living room filled with guests every morning and every evening. So, the cornerstone of our hospitality is the daily gatherings around a big table for delicious home-cooked meals, sharing local recommendations and stories with our guests. It's like being at a friend's place from the start.

As an experienced traveler, I can assure you that it's a rare find on these days, which has earned us 1500+ reviews and a 4.9 Superhost rating.

Our vacation apartments, villas, and rooms all have breathtaking lake views. Located in Brenzone sul Garda, the most authentic and non-tourist part of Lake Garda, GardaDoma offers a central yet quiet and tranquil escape. Perfect for recharging and exploring nearby attractions.

I run the estate with my friends and family, so now my extended family unites 12 people who take care of everything during your stay with us. From housekeeping to transfers and everything.

Over these five years, GardaDoma transformed from a humble Italian country house of my family with a shared bathroom into a six-bedroom guesthouse with private bathrooms and a common hall with a fireplace where all the social fun takes place. We've added six more apartments and villas (and we keep expanding, with several more apartments coming this year) giving our guests the choice of privacy in a villa or the camaraderie of our main guesthouse.

ПЧЕЛИНАЯ

Самой неожиданной вещью, которую мы обнаружили, въехав в в качестве его новых владельцев 25 мая 2018 года, был гигантский улей, расположенный под ставнями одной из комнат верхнего этажа. Желая не обидеть и даже не потревожить пчел, мы вызвали местного пасечника, который благополучно перевез их в более подходящее место.

Но с того дня в нашем семейном фольклоре эта комната стала "Пчелиной комнатой", и мы решили дать ей официальное название. В конечном итоге это повлияло и на дизайн комнаты в плане цветов и некоторых деталей🌸🐝

В комнате есть:
🔸собственная ванная комната с душем,
🔸просторный шкаф,
🔸старинный комод,
🔸письменный стол,
🔸двуспальная кровать и отдельная двухъярусная кровать, так что она идеально подходит для 4 человек.

Одно из двух окон выходит прямо на запад (вид на озеро оттуда просто потрясающий), поэтому в ясные вечера солнце, садящееся за горы, наполняет комнату мягким медовым сиянием🍯🐝☀️

«БЕЛАЯ»

Когда мы только поселились в , эта комната была гостевой: время от времени в ней останавливались наши друзья и родственники. Поэтому, когда мы решили переделать часть комнат под домашний отель типа B&B, выбор первым делом пал именно на нее😍

Дизайн нам подсказало само пространство: все стены были выкрашены белым, и туда будто бы напрашивались белая кровать, белый шкаф, белый ночной столик и белые шторы на окнах –– словом, все для того, чтобы прозрачный, жизнелюбивый свет, до краев заполняющий комнату, не менял свой характер в течение дня…

Однако же главной особенностью Белой комнаты (по крайней мере, по словам некоторых наших гостей) был и остается вид с отдельного балкона: на сад, на озеро, на горы и на потрясающее бескрайнее небо, будто бы вышедшее из-под кисти Микеланджело. Как недавно сказал один из отдыхающих: уже на одном этом балконе можно провести всю жизнь.

Эта комната, с точки зрения естественного освещения, является одной из самых освещенных в доме☀️

В комнате есть:

Помимо удобств, которые гарантированы нашим гостям, в этом номере есть отдельный балкон, с которого можно созерцать голубое небо, зеленовато-голубое озеро и пепельно-голубые горы🏞️🏔️🌌

СЕМЕЙНАЯ

Когда мы впервые увидели эту комнату, которая была самой большой в доме (кроме того, все остальные комнаты были рассчитаны на двух человек, а в этой с самого начала стояла двухъярусная кровать для детей или подростков), мы сразу же решили, что это будет семейная комната, как по названию, так и по предназначению👫👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👧
И она действительно соответствует своему назначению.

Здесь останавливаются почти исключительно семьи - или большие, семейные собрания друзей. Хотя он прекрасно подходит и для тех, кто путешествует в одиночку, так что иногда это не просто номер, а скорее дворец для индивидуалистов.
