Gary Hume for Giobagnara Art Edition, featured in .

Working with Hume has been a fulfilling experience for Giorgio Bagnara. “I immediately noticed the way he looks at his artworks, the way he strokes them with a sense of elegance and love. You then understand how his subconscious is reflected in his work, how deeply he feels about it.”

The collection began with one question: how do you conceive an artwork as an object? A painting rolled up becomes a vase. Groups of related works gather on the surfaces of trays and boxes, forming small families of objects. Antique painted room dividers become the reference for the typology Hume favours most today.

“The ‘Belarus’ screen interests me,” he says. “The original painting combines the Hanukkah, an angel’s head from the Niemeyer cathedral in Brasilia, and my feelings while watching Come and See, Elem Klimov’s heartrending World War II film. Now it has become a beautiful thing, its function to divide or conceal.”

Our heartfelt thanks to Gary Hume, an artist of immense humanity, for collaborating with Giobagnara. To Nick Vinson for a creative direction of rare elegance. To and Rosa Bertoli for the feature.

At Palazzo Donizetti, during Milano Design Week 2026, GIOBAGNARA joins the fourth edition of L’Appartamento by Artemest: a curatorial vision dedicated to Italian Grandeur, where objects become part of a larger architectural narrative shaped by texture, precision, and timeless savoir-faire.
Within this layered setting, Ambretta enters the scene as a measured accent of character. Its softened volume seems to anticipate the hand, while leather is drawn around its form with seamless precision. A burnished brushed bronze k**b emerges like an organic trace, catching the light with restrained intensity.
A dialogue between heritage and contemporary living, shaped by detail.

Within the frescoed rooms of Palazzo Donizetti, Italian craftsmanship takes shape as a quiet interplay of atmosphere, proportion, and material sensibility.

In this layered composition, Aurelia enters the scene with measured presence. Not as a focal point imposed on the space, but as a calibrated gesture within it: a bench whose silhouette, leather texture, and refined craftsmanship add weight, warmth, and depth to the room’s visual rhythm.
Set between historic ornament and contemporary interior language, Aurelia enriches the dialogue with discretion, giving the scene a tactile resonance and a sense of enduring material elegance.

A conversation between heritage and contemporary living.

Within the frescoed rooms of Palazzo Donizetti, Italian craftsmanship unfolds through atmosphere, proportion, and material dialogue.

For the fourth edition of L’Appartamento by Artemest, during Milano Design Week 2026, GIOBAGNARA joins a curatorial vision dedicated to Italian Grandeur, where objects become part of a larger architectural narrative, shaped through texture, precision, and timeless savoir-faire.

Across spaces imagined by internationally acclaimed design studios, our creations inhabit interiors conceived not simply to be seen, but to be experienced: layered, tactile, and deeply intentional.

Everything needed. Nothing more.
The Poise set brings together shoehorn, clothes brush, and lint brush in a single leather-lined tray, shaped precisely to receive them. Walnut structures, leather inserts, one coherent material language.

Conceived for the dressing area. The wardrobe, the suite, the detail that defines the room.

Now featured in the May 2026 issue of , GIOBAGNARA takes part in “Game Show”, an exploration of the enduring ritual of play through objects of extraordinary craftsmanship and design.

Creatively directed by , the story celebrates board games not as simple pastimes, but as expressions of culture, beauty and human connection; “serious fun,” as Wallpaper* describes it.

Among the pieces featured are our custom-made leather chessboard, the leather and walnut Rummikub set, and the leather and walnut mahjong set created in collaboration with . Handcrafted in our ateliers, each object reflects our dedication to refined materials, precision and the timeless pleasure of gathering around a game.

As Wallpaper* writes, “to play was to understand oneself, one’s companions and the world around us with greater clarity.” We are proud to see our creations included in this celebration of craftsmanship, conviviality and design heritage.

Our sincere thanks to and to Nick Vinson for including GIOBAGNARA in this remarkable story.
