Casa La Pace - A Dream Destination in Tuscany
A missed train, some rain, and, yet, a most magical, amazing, time at Casa La Pace! First, the view from the terrace - absolutely stunning. The castle across the valley, the view of the village below, the mountains - truly, one of the most picturesque vistas in Tuscany! Our hosts - Rusty and Pepper. Just THE best. From the moment we got off the train until we got back on the train, they were there for anything we needed. We became instant friends in our short visit and have already planned a return trip soon! Pepper is an excellent tour guide and our trip to the castle was just amazing! The B&B itself is gorgeous. It is historic, it is "old" Italy at its best. The front terrace is a flower/plant lovers dream. Rusty certainly has a green thumb gift! It is a short train ride to Florence, Pisa, Lucca - truly, anywhere you'd like to go. Comfortable rooms, wonderful amenities, all well-kept, clean, quiet, and homey. The breakfast was fresh and delicious - produce and breads from the market in the village below. There is so much I could say about our time in Ghivizzano. I highly recommend you make plans to stay in this quaint, quiet, friendly, hidden gem on your next trip to Tuscany!

La Dolce Vita in a Tuscan Village
If you want an authentic experience of Italian life outside the big cities, you will do no better than to book a stay at Casa la Pace in the beautiful Tuscan village of Ghivizzano. This B&B, set in an exquisitely restored farmhouse is hosted by Rusty and Pepper, a delightful couple. They will warmly welcome you and see to your every need. Make sure and ask for Pepper's guided tour of the village - and its castle! This was my first trip to Italy, and I can't imagine a better introduction to this magical place.

Beautiful and convenient location with wonderful hosts
We can’t say enough about our stay at Casa La Pace ! First of all Pepper and Rusty are very accommodating and took care of everything from making dinner reservations, arranging transportation, to personal tours of the area! We felt like family and were truly immersed in the Italian culture. They speak fluent Italian which helped with the language barrier in every aspect.
Casa La Pace is in a beautiful area in the lovely Tuscany Valley with views of Ghivizzano castle and the surrounding countryside. It is so homey and decorated in true Italian style. The courtyard is lovely and so peaceful. The location is very convenient to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and so many other sights. We are happy to call Rusty and Pepper our new friends and Italian family.

Wonderful stay in Tuscany
Great experience, Pepper meet us at the train station, was in touch with us several times prior to arrival.
The stay was fabulous , room was very comfortable and clean, great views of the castle. Breakfast was special every morning with local fruits, cheese and breads.
We took 2 different excursions, Pepper and Rusty were very educated about the history of the areas and we enjoyed the tours.
Pepper and Rusty took us to 3 different restaurants for dinner and all were exceptional.
They helped us book our train tickets for Rome and checked on us several times to make sure we got to our destination
Can’t even express how much we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to others
