Il Pozzo di San Patrizio è una struttura costruita da Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane a Orvieto, tra il 1527 e il 1537, ed è profondo 54 metri. Al pozzo, capolavoro di ingegneria, si accede da due rampe elicoidali a senso unico, completamente autonome e servite da due diverse porte, che consentivano di trasportare con i muli l'acqua estratta, senza ostacolarsi e senza dover ricorrere all'unica via che saliva al paese dal fondovalle.
The Well of San Patrizio is a structure built by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger in Orvieto, between 1527 and 1537, and is 54 meters deep. At the well, an engineering masterpiece, is accessed by two one-way helical ramps, completely autonomous and served by two different doors, which allowed to transport the extracted water with the mules, without hindering and without having to resort to the only way that saliva to the village from the valley bottom......l'Umbria vi aspetta ....Umbria the new dolce vita!
