In questi giorni hanno alloggiato da noi i

Chi sono i 𝐆𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐢 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢?
Un gruppo di giovani che danno vita ad un movimento studentesco che vive i suoi primi decenni senza una particolare struttura. Ad un certo punto della sua storia le persone coinvolte (studenti e laureati) sentirono il bisogno di creare un’associazione. Questo non solo per motivi legali, ma anche per meglio portare avanti il lavoro, salvaguardare e dare continuità al movimento.

Da allora l’Associazione GBU opera con uno statuto che ne regola la struttura, fissa gli scopi e la visione e ne salvaguardia i valori.

La loro missione è quella di condividere Gesù da studente a studente in modo efficace, per vedere vite trasformate capaci di vivere il vangelo con integrità e a loro volta condividere Gesù in ogni contesto.

🇮🇹 Un pò di storia del nostro territorio...𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀
Questo piccolo e ridente paese sulle rive del lago Trasimeno è menzionato per la prima volta nel 1182, in un documento nel quale si parla di una strada a Torricella da identificare con una via che giungeva a questo insediamento. Originatosi in epoca romana, questo nucleo abitato è da annoverare tra quelli che riuscirono a superare la grande crisi tardo antica. L’attività piscatoria e quella agricola ne dovevano connotare l’economia fin dall’epoca romana.

Comunità autonoma ancora nel secolo XIII, anche se insieme ad altri nuclei abitati, nel secolo successivo p***e definitivamente la propria autonomia e il suo territorio fu annesso a quello di Pian di Carpine e Montecolognola. Censiti insieme agli abitanti di queste due comunità, già all’inizio del Trecento i residenti in Torricella pagavano le imposte cittadine insieme a quelli delle due suddette.

Ubicata lungo la vecchia strada per Passignano sul Trasimeno e la Toscana, per questo luogo transitarono pontefici e sovrani; un abitante di questo insediamento, Angelo Mezzetti, nel 1820 e nel 1825 ospitò nella sua casa il principe Leopoldo Giovanni figlio del re di Napoli e sua moglie Maria Clementina d’Austria.

🇺🇸 A bit of history of our territory... 𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀
This small and charming village on the shores of Lake Trasimeno is mentioned for the first time in 1182, in a document which mentions a road in Torricella to be identified with a road that reached this settlement. Originating in Roman times, this inhabited nucleus is to be counted among those that managed to overcome the great late ancient crisis. The fishing and agricultural activity must have characterized the economy since Roman times.

Autonomous community still in the XIII century, even if together with other inhabited nucleuses, in the following century it definitively lost its autonomy and its territory was annexed to that of Pian di Carpine and Montecolognola. Registered together with the inhabitants of these two communities, already at the beginning of the fourteenth century the residents of Torricella paid city taxes together with those of the two aforementioned.

Located along the old road to Passignano sul Trasimeno and Tuscany, popes and sovereigns passed through this place; an inhabitant of this settlement, Angelo Mezzetti, hosted Prince Leopoldo Giovanni, son of the King of Naples, and his wife Maria Clementina of Austria in his house in 1820 and 1825.

Il nostro ostello, situato a 100 metri dal Lago Trasimeno, dispone di ampi spazi interni ed esterni per svolgere molte attività ludiche e per trascorrere tempo in relax ed in compagnia.
