It started with Gaetano Ravesi. In the 1920s he brought the first car to Salina and built the island’s first bakery.

His son Girolamo, known to everyone as Peppino, introduced the island’s first bus, kept the bakery going through the hardest years, and saw the potential of Salina long before anyone else.

His daughter, Carla, brought this vision to life, transforming the family home into a unique retreat. Today she is the heart of the house. She’s here every morning at breakfast, with the cakes and jams she makes from her family’s own recipes.

And her children are here alongside her, with the same love, the same care, and the same passion for this island. Four generations of Ravesi on Salina, still growing🌿
