Bridging distant worlds: what happens when we step outside the office 🌲🎒
Take a look at this photo: we are in the woods of Bovino, little village in Puglia. At first glance, it might look like a simple hike, but it’s actually much more than that.
In Bovino, we are currently coordinating a local empowerment process focused on entrepreneurship and ecological transition. And since our work takes us to different territories every single month, we did what we love to do most: we invited the people currently living in our house in Matera to come along with us.
We truly love bridging worlds that are usually distant or rarely communicate with each other. On one side, our guests—remote workers, digital nomads, creatives, and curious travelers from all over the globe. On the other side, the social fabric of the territories where we operate: local citizens, businesses, and public administrations.
Sharing daily life at Casa Netural during and after computer work is wonderful, but bringing our guests into the field feels like the best way to deeply immerse them in the local culture. For them, it’s a unique chance to understand a territory from the inside; for the local communities, it’s a powerful opportunity to exchange ideas with fresh, international perspectives.
👇 Have you ever found yourself completely immersed in the authentic life of a local town while traveling or working remotely, connecting directly with the people who live there? What was that experience like? Let us know in the comments.
💬 P.S. Our coliving is an open door that connects you straight to local communities. Beyond our main hubs in Matera and Gorizia, we are constantly on the move in various regions. If you want to know where we are right now, what we are building, and how you can join our next field trips, drop us a DM or email us at [email protected]!
