With temperatures close to 30 degrees already, these are the days when life naturally slows down a little.

Some guests spend the hottest hours swimming in the lake, enjoying long lunches by the water and lazy afternoons on the terrace.

Others prefer escaping into the hills — quiet walks in the shade, hidden paths through old villages and breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the lake.

No rushing.

One of the things our guests often tell us is how quickly life begins to feel calmer here 🥰

What our guests loved most about their stay…

There’s something special about hearing what stays with our guests after a few days by the lake 🤩
After 5 nights with us, one of the highlights they mentioned was simply spending time in wandering the streets, enjoying slow mornings, and soaking in the atmosphere.

But one experience stood out in particular:

A perfect day on Lake Como, step by step ✨

Start with the ferry from Menaggio to Lenno — one of the most scenic ways to begin the day.

From there, follow the pilgrim path up to Madonna del Soccorso, stopping at the small chapels along the way.

At the top, enjoy breathtaking views over the lake. Bring a picnic or have lunch at the restaurant just behind the church.

Walk back down to Lenno, stop for local olive oil, and continue along the Greenway through Tremezzo.

A full day of nature, views and simple pleasures 🤍

A few days on Lake Como, our way ✨

Arrive, settle in… and start with a quiet drink on the terrace before heading down to Menaggio for your first evening by the lake.

The next day, take the ferry across to Varenna — one of our favourite villages — and walk up to Castello di Vezio for a truly spectacular view over the lake.

On your second day, slow things down with a walk in nature.
Follow the river through Val Sanagra, or enjoy part of the Greenway del Lago from Colonno to Griante — both offering beautiful scenery and a peaceful side of Lake Como.
